FULTON, MS – Sophomore Jasmine Hampton (Bruce) had a career-night scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to help the Lady Indians knock off Holmes 68-52 on Breast Cancer Awareness Night.
"Jasmine played one of her best games she has ever played as a Lady Indian," said ICC head coach Nanci Gray. "She did a great job of working hard on offense to get good position in the paint and to get rebounds and she also gave the same kind of effort on the defensive side of the ball too."
Fellow sophomore Ty-Nita Baker (Houston) scored 17 points while freshman Leslie Robinson (Belmont) came off the bench to dish out a game-high six assist and taking away another game-high four steals while scoring eight points in the win.
"Leslie played a great game," said Gray. "She did so much that won't show up in the stats to help us win this game. I feel like she has really stepped into her role as being that spark we really needed off the bench that we were missing earlier this season.
Dasha Adams led Holmes with 18 points while Tamia Grady had 10 in the loss.
