Lady Indians rebound to beat East Mississippi 65-45

SCOOBA, MS – Sophomore Ty-Nita Baker (Houston) recorded her fourth double-double of the season scoring a game-high 23 points and grabbing another game-high 11 rebounds in the Itawamba Community College Lady Indians 65-45 MACJC North Division win over the East Mississippi Community College Lady Lions on Tuesday.
The Lady Indians answered their worst shooting performance of the season by shooting 42-percent from the floor, including connecting on eight three points on the night.
Sophomore Ayanna Lynn (Indianola) added 10 points while Baker added a game-high four assists in the win. The Lady Indians held a 46-26 rebounding edge and was plus-10 in turnovers.
Savannah Simmons scored 13 for the Lady Lions while Wilma Davis added 12 in the loss.
The Lady Indians improve to 10-6, 4-1 MACJC North while the Lady Lions fall to 3-12, 1-3 MACJC North. ICC will host Mississippi Delta Community College on Thursday, January 24 at 6:00 p.m.
