FULTON, Miss. – Jud Files has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Baseball Pitcher of the Week, according to an announcement Tuesday.
The Mooreville native picked up his first win of the season on Friday, Feb. 7 when he threw a no hitter in five innings of work in the Indians' 12-1 win over Olney Central, striking out eight batters and walking two.
Files currently leads the team with 16 strikeouts on the season, which is tied for third in the MACCC.
The Indians will be back in action on Thursday, Feb. 13, for a showdown with Lake Land at Roy Cresap Field, with first pitch set for 12 p.m.
