
MOORHEAD, Miss. – The Indians enjoyed a road sweep over Delta on Wednesday.
Game 1: Indians 4, Delta 1
The Indians collected nine hits on their way to a 4-1 win in game one.
ICC got on the board first in the top of the second inning after Dre McCray scored on a passed ball. An RBI single by Jarrett Morris then scored Hayden Roberts.
The Indians added two more runs to their lead. In the third inning, Stone Collier hit a sacrifice fly to score Jaxin Settlemires, and Rock scored in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Luke Wood.
Morris went three-for-four at the plate with an RBI while Rock and McCray each went two-for-four.
Matt Bourdon earned the win for the Indians, surrendering one run on four hits while striking out four batters.
Game 2: Indians 8, Delta 3 (7 innings)
The Indians secured the road sweep over Delta with an 8-3 game two win.
Hayden Roberts stole home on a groundout to give ICC the game's first run in the top of the second. In the third, the Trojans plated a pair of runs to take a 2-1 lead.
McCray scored on an error to tie the game in the fourth. In the following inning, the Indians took a 5-2 lead with three runs, including Bo Rock's RBI single that scored Ben Davis, Roberts' score on a bases-loaded walk and Rock's score when Jarrett Morris was hit by a pitch.
Stone Collier added to the Indians' lead in the sixth when he singled on a line drive to score Jude Treadaway. ICC added two more runs in the seventh when McCray scored on a fielder's choice and Morris, on a passed ball.
Collier and McCray both finished with two hits each. Collier, Rock, Treadaway, Roberts and Morris each had an RBI.
Tyler Yearwood was the pitcher of record for ICC, giving up no runs on three hits while striking out one batter in three innings of work. Eli Akins started in game two for the Indians, surrendering two runs on one hit over three innings.
The Indians will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Raymond to face Hinds.
