Fulton, Miss. – Itawamba Community College sophomore Brady Davis was named Pitcher of the Week by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Tuesday morning.
The Hamilton native earned the conference's weekly honor after his performance against Coahoma last week.
In the 10-0 run-rule victory, Davis threw a no-hitter and struck out six batters. He allowed only one base runner on a hit-by-pitch, but still faced only 15 batters in the five-inning contest.
Davis, who leads the Indians (17-19, 11-13 MACCC) with 43 innings pitched in nine appearances, has struck out 33 batters this season.
The Indians are fighting for a playoff spot in the final week of the regular season with doubleheaders against Holmes on Tuesday and Meridian on Friday.
