
Stepter named MACJC Baseball Player of the Week

FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College sophomore left fielder Keith Stepter was named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) Baseball Player of the Week in a league announcement Tuesday.
The Hernando native helped the Indians (28-12, 15-9 MACJC) go 2-2 last week as he hit .667 (8-for-12) with eight RBI, seven runs scored, two home runs and a double.
Stepter also drew two walks and was hit by two pitches and had a .750 on base percentage.
Both of his home runs and four of his RBIs came in the Indians tough 10-9 game two loss to Mississippi Delta Community College, but he went 3-for-4 with two RBI in the 12-8 game one win.
Against Copiah-Lincoln Community College, Stepter went 3-for-4 with two RBI in the doubleheader split.
Stepter and the Indians will host East Mississippi Community College Wednesday as they continue to fight for a playoff spot. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Roy Cresap Field in Fulton.
