Box named MACJC Baseball Player of the Week

FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College freshman third baseman Hagan Box (French Camp) was named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Baseball Player of the Week Tuesday.
Box batted .571 (8-14) with four RBI, two doubles, a walk, a stolen base and scored four runs over four games last week.
The right handed hitter started the week with a 3-for-4, 2-RBI outing in the Indians 10-3 game one win over Southwest Tennessee Community College and picked up another RBI in the nightcap as he went 2-for-3.
Against Hinds Community College, Box went 1-for-3 with a walk and run scored in the conference opening 17-6 game one loss Sunday. In game two, Box, who is hitting .463 this season, was 2-for-4 with a RBI.
The Indians will host Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Saturday, March 19 for a conference doubleheader. First pitch from Roy Cresap Field is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
