Baseball drops game two to Calhoun, 5-1

FULTON, MS – In their sixth and final meeting of the year, Calhoun Community College (AL) rallied late to defeat Itawamba Community College, 5-1.
The Indians (10-2) were deadlocked in a defense battle Wednesday as the game was scoreless for the first four innings, but they were able to break the drought in the fifth on a when Kaleb Barnes (Pontotoc) scored on Delvin Zinn (Pontotoc) reaching on a fielder's choice.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Warhawks (14-9) also broke their scoreless streak as they tied the game on a double. However, the game wouldn't remain tied long as they Warhawks drove in four runs in the following innings to take their first lead of the day.
The Indians were unable to put together a rally to make a comeback, falling 5-1 in game two, but won the season series winning four of the six contest.
