Late rally leads No. 10 Bobcats to 12-6 win over Indians

ELLISVILLE, MS – The Indians saw a seventh-inning rally help lift the No. 10 Bobcats of Jones County Junior College to a 12-6 Game 1 victory on Friday.
The Indians (13-10, 7-8 MACJC) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening stanza of the contest.
Tanner Poole (Amory) singled on the first pitch of the day and stole second on the following pitch before scoring on a single by Timothy Rowe (Hernando) before Gable Butler (Tishomingo) doubled to score Rowe and Bryce Williams (Ridgeland).
The Bobcats (22-9, 9-6 MACJC) answered with a run in the bottom half of the inning and took their first lead of the game with a trio of runs in the bottom half of the third inning.

Trailing 5-3, the Indians rallied to tie the game when Drake Rowton (Marion, AR) and Bryce Williams scored after Rowe and Hayden Williams (Amory) were hit by back-to-back pitches in the seventh, but the Bobcats answered with a six spot in the bottom half of the inning to pull away for the victory.
Hayden Williams went 3-for-4 while Bryce Williams went 2-for-3 at the plate to pace the Indians' 10-hit performance.
