FULTON, MS -- Itawamba Community College head baseball coach Rick Collier announced the Indians' doubleheader against Calhoun Community College (AL) has been moved to Wednesday due to inclement weather anticipated to moved into North Mississippi on Tuesday.
"This is unfortunate part of the game," said Collier. "It's been a frustrating season for us so far and this just adds to it when you can't get back out there and try to turn things around. Hopefully the guys will take advantage of an extra day to get ready for a real good Calhoun team coming to town."
The Indians split a Sunday doubleheader against Rend Lake College to move to 4-6 on the season.
"We've got to find nine guys that want to play," Collier commented on the Indians' struggles. "It's a lot different than what they are use to playing in high school. You have to bring it for two games because there aren't any pushovers on this level."
Game 1 of the doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. with Game 2 to follow after a short break at Roy Cresap Field.
