FULTON, MS – After dropping their season opener, the Itawamba Community College women's tennis team looked to rebound against East Central Community College on Friday, but the Lady Warriors outlasted the Lady Indians to pick up the 7-2 win.
The Lady Indians won the first match of the day as Jordan Roberts (Shannon) and Bailey Gillentine (Mooreville) won No. 1 doubles 8-5.
Roberts also picked up a 6-2, 6-1 win in No. 1 singles.
East Central grabbed the next four singles matches but in No. 6 singles, Charity Tedford (Pontotoc) rallied to force a superset, but came up just short falling 10-7.
