FULTON, Miss. – Three Itawamba Community College women's soccer players were named to the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) women's soccer all-conference teams on Friday.
Lauren Sharples (Liverpool, England) achieved All-MACCC Second Team honors while Vanessa Baugatz (Berlin, Germany) and Annabelle Holman (Amory) were both named All-MACCC Honorable Mention.
Sharples played a key role in the Lady Indians' success this season, scoring five goals while recording 10 shots on goal, an average .833 percentage. She scored the game-winning goal in ICC's 3-2 victory over No. 20 Gulf Coast on Oct. 4.
Baugatz finished her ICC career, leading the Lady Indians with 12 goals scored, surpassing former ICC player Grace Joyce (2018-19) to become the program's new all-time career goals leader with 26. She scored a season-high three goals in the Lady Indians' 6-0 win at Hinds on Oct. 25, etching her name at the top of the career leader board.
Holman made it difficult for opposing teams to score in her freshman season, racking up 93 saves, which tied her for third-most in a single season with former ICC player Anna Kate Trost (2021). She was named MACCC Women's Soccer Keeper of the Week five times and earned NJCAA DII Women's Soccer Keeper of the Week honors twice.
The Lady Indians finished the 2024 season 12-4-2 overall with a 7-3-1 conference record and an appearance in the NJCAA Region 23 semifinals.
