
FULTON, Miss. – The soccer teams split a non-division doubleheader with Pearl River Community College on Wednesday. The Lady Indians dropped a 1-0 decision in overtime while the Indians held off a late rally to pick up the 3-2 victory.
Great defensive plays by both squads throughout the first 90 minutes sent the match into overtime. Pearl River out ran the Lady Indians' defense to get a one-on-one opportunity and found the golden goal in the 96th minute.
The Lady Indians fell to 6-5-0 on the season and will host Motlow State (Tenn.) Community College Saturday at 1:00.
