
Lady Indians fall to nationally ranked Jones

FULTON, MS – The Itawamba Community College's women's soccer squad fell to the Nationally Ranked Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats 8-0 in Fulton Wednesday.
The Lady Indians (3-5-2, 1-2-1 MACJC North) knew they would have their hands full with the strong Jones squad, but they gave a strong effort and put three great shots on net during the contest.
Jones scored early and often with their first goal coming at the 9th minute and netting two more over the next nine minute span.
The Lady Indians scoring chances came off the feet of Hope Burton (Caledonia) and Caroline Mueller (New Albany) and keeper Ana Branch (Oxford) picked up 10 saves in the match.
Next up for the Lady Indians is non division match against Millsaps in Jackson on Saturday.
