
Three second half goals gives Holmes a 3-1 win over the Lady Indians

RIDGELAND, MS – Holmes Community College rallied for three unanswered goals in the second half to defeat the Itawamba Community College's women's soccer team 3-1 Friday.
The Lady Indians (2-3-2, 1-2-1 MACJC North) jumped out to an early 1-0 lead at the 17th minute when Jessica Geraldson (Olive Branch) beat the keeper off a pass from Hope Burton (Caledonia).
Early in the second half, the Lady Bulldogs drove home the equalizer and then took the lead at the 68th minute.
Four minutes later, Holmes picked up an insurance goal and their defense stepped up to hold the Lady Indians scoreless the remainder of the match to pick up the victory.
Next up for the Lady Indians is non division contest at Meridian Community College Tuesday.
