GOODMAN, MS – The Lady Indians competed in their second double overtime game in nine days, but came up just short falling 2-1 to Holmes.

After a break in games due to the recent rainy conditions, but the Lady Indians (2-10-1, 2-5-1) were able to get back on the field in Goodman on Thursday. Coming off a 2-1 loss to East Central and a 0-0 doublke overtime tie with Northwest, the Lady Indians were hoping to find their third win of the season.

Rebekah Miller (Pontotoc) gave the Lady Indians a 1-0 lead early in the second half, but a late goal by Holmes sent the game into overtime. After one scoreless period of overtime, the teams ran back out for the second frame. Despite, the Lady Indians strong effort, the Lady Bulldogs were able to put home the game winner and eliminate the Lady Indians from any playoff contention.

The Lady Indians will travel to Hinds on October 21 for their final road match of the season.
