Lady Indians fall to No. 19 Jones County
The Lady Indians (1-1, 0-0) dropped their first match of the season, 5-0, to the No. 19 Lady Bobcats.
"Jones County is as good as advertised," said Coach Cody Carson. "I thought we played well, but their depth made a big difference in the second half."
JCJC took a 2-0 lead into the break before pulling away for the victory.
"I feel confident that we will learn from this and I know this group of girls will work even harder to keep getting better as we open division play next week," said Carson.
ICC will travel to Meridian Community College on Friday before returning home for a pair of home matches against Southwest Mississippi Community College on Tuesday and will open North Division play against Northwest Mississippi Community College on Friday.
