FULTON, MS -- Freshmen Alyssa Kelley and Emily Munn earned MACJC Player of the Week honors.
Kelley (Saltillo) earned MACJC Women's Player of the Week honors after scoring three goals and assisting on another to help the Lady Indians go 1-0-1 last week.
"Alyssa has stepped in a role as a scorer over the past few weeks," said ICC soccer Coach Mike Sullivan. "She had a break out game against Co-Lin and that really helped boost her confidence offensively."
The freshman striker had a goal and an assist in a 2-2 double overtime with Holmes Community College and added a pair of goals in the Lady Indians' 2-1 win over East Central Community College.
Munn (Pontotoc) earned MACJC Women's Keeper of the Week after allowing two goals and having nine saves in 110 minutes with three of her saves came in the second overtime helping the Lady Indians earn the tie against Holmes.
"Emily started of the season with a strong performance against Delta State and has been steady ever since," said Sullivan. "She is fearless, communicates well with her defenders, and does all the little things that don't show up in a box score that helps a team be successful."
The freshman keeper missed the East Central game due to injury.
