Burton found sophomore Ashley Malone (Michie, TN) for the eventual game-winning goal from 18 yards out in the ninth minute of the second half.
"Haley and Hannah Drope (Pontotoc) got the play started for us with good passing through the midfield," Sullivan said of the game-winning play. "They did a great job finding Lindsey on the left wing and she didn't hesitate to set Ashley up for the goal."
The Lady Indians' defense, anchored by sophomore Lauren Swee (Chelsea, AL), held kept the Lady Bulldogs offensive attack quite for the remainder of the mast to pick up their first win of the season.
"It feels good getting this monkey off our back," said Sullivan. "The girls have worked too hard this season to not have already have a win this season, but they came in determined to get the win and refused to come away with anything less."
