Lady Indians tie Union 1-1 in home opener

FULTON, MS -- The Lady Indians (0-2-1) finished tied with Union 1-1 after both coaches agreed to no overtime due to weather concerns.
"We felt good about the match," said ICC head coach Mike Sullivan. "We had plenty of chances to score, but were unable to take advantage of them. We still have a lot to work on, but we are making a lot progress in the right direction."
Ashley Malone (McNairy Central HS) scored off an assist from Haley Walker (Tupelo HS) in the first half.
The Lady Indians are schedule to travel to Bethel University on Friday, but due to weather and field conditions the match could be rescheduled to a date to be announced later.
