
FLORENCE, S.C. – It was a mixed day of results for Indians at the NJCAA Division I Men's Tennis National Tournament on Wednesday at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Tennis Center, as play continued in the consolation brackets.
Knox Waterer dropped an 8-1 decision in the No. 2 singles consolation semifinals to No. 4 seed Pedro De La Riva of Cowley.
In doubles action, Jack Semper and Luca Hoffmann advanced in the No. 2 doubles consolation bracket with a solid 8-3 win over Sam Barclift and Luke Emerson of Bevill State. The duo will meet USC Sumter's Aki Harada and Stanley Long in the consolation semifinals.
Joan Mateu Ramis Pascual and Knox Waterer were forced to concede their No. 1 doubles match in the consolation draw due to a walkover.
In No. 3 doubles, Ben Orr and Santiago Diaz fell 8-1 to Eastern Florida's Pablo Garcia and Tomas Kurz.
