ELLISVILLE, Miss. – The 2025 NJCAA Region 23 Men's Tennis Championships are set for April 24–26 at Jones College, and the No. 3 seed Indians are ready to make their mark in one of the nation's most competitive fields.
ICC opens tournament play Thursday afternoon against No. 6 seed Meridian. The match is scheduled to begin no earlier than 3:30 p.m. The winner will advance to face the winner of No. 2 Gulf Coast vs. No. 7 East Central at 2 p.m. Friday.
Although seeded third, the Indians enter the tournament ranked No. 17 nationally and will rely on their regular season experience and roster depth in pursuit of a deep postseason run. The Region 23 field includes six teams ranked in the NJCAA Top 25: Jones College (No. 13), Gulf Coast (No. 15), Northwest (No. 18), Co-Lin (No. 19), Meridian (No. 20), East Central (No. 23), and Northeast (No. 25).
The tournament follows the MACCC regular season dual match format, beginning with doubles competition. Doubles are played as an eight-game pro set, with a seven-point tiebreaker at 8–8. After a five-minute break, singles matches will begin, each played as best two-of-three tiebreak sets. A team clinches the match by winning five total courts.
Admission is free for the three-day tournament. Spectator parking is available in the lot behind Community Bank Park, near the baseball and softball fields. Live scoring will be available throughout the event at IonCourt.com.
