
FULTON, Miss. – The Indians dropped Friday's doubleheader against No. 4 Co-Lin at Andy Kirk Field.
Game 1: Wolves 2, Indians 1 (10 innings)
ICC dropped a hard-fought game one to the Wolves in a 2-1 decision that stretched into 10 innings.
Co-Lin opened the scoring with an RBI ground out in the second and the Indians responded with an RBI single delivered by AB Marlar that scored Joryie McKnight.
It was a tied game at 1-1 throughout the majority of the contest up until the top of the 10th when the Wolves broke the tie with a sacrifice fly.
Alyssa Clifft was the pitcher of record for ICC as she struck out nine batters and walked eight while giving up one run on three hits in a complete game effort.
Marlar, McKnight and Taylar Shands each collected a hit for the Indians.
Game 2: Wolves 10, Indians 0 (5 innings)
The Indians couldn't get anything going in game two as they fell to No. 4 Co-Lin, 10-0, in five innings.
Co-Lin's first two runs came in the second inning with a 2 RBI double. The Wolves added another run in the third, two more in the fourth and five in the fifth to secure the victory over ICC.
In the circle, Neely Hodum went two innings as she struck out one batter and walked four while giving up seven runs (five earned) on five hits. Ella Lilly opened the game for ICC, picking up a strikeout and walking a batter while allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits over three innings.
Zoe Goodman collected the Indians' lone hit of the contest.
