FULTON, Miss. – 2024 Itawamba Community College graduate Tamiya Martin of Nettleton has signed to continue her softball career at Tuskegee (Ala.) University.
In her final season at ICC, Martin led the Indians with a team-best 22 stolen bases while recording 49 hits and 18 RBI. She earned the walk-off win in Game 1 against Calhoun Community College during the 2024 season when she dropped a single in shallow left field behind a diving shortstop to score Allie Beckley from second in the bottom of the seventh.
Martin joins the Golden Tigers that compete in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and are a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II member.
