
BOONEVILLE, Miss. – The Indians fell to Motlow State, 3-1, in their first game of the TigerFest Tournament in Booneville.
After a scoreless first inning, ICC struck first in the second inning when Riley Tyree doubled and got replaced on the bases by Bryanna Clemons, who scored on a double by Avery Wolfe.
Motlow State responded in the fourth inning after a Buck baserunner stole home to even the score, 1-1. The Bucks then found a timely two-out hit that scored two in the sixth inning.
Tyree finished the contest going two-for-three at the plate while Wolfe went one-for-two with an RBI.
Julia Shaw was the pitcher of record as she gave up three runs on eight hits while striking out three batters in six innings of work.
The Indians will be back in action when they face Frontier in their second game of the TigerFest Tournament.
