
Softball slips to No. 11 in newest NJCAA rankings

FULTON, MS – The softball team dropped two spots to No. 11 in the latest National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Softball Polls released Wednesday afternoon.
The Indians posted a 5-1 record last week to move to 31-6 overall and 16-4 in conference play before sweeping East Mississippi Community College (17-17, 12-10 MACJC) Tuesday.
ICC is one of four Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) programs to hold a spot amongst the nation's top teams. No. 3 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (33-3, 17-3 MACJC) and No. 4 East Central Community College (32-7, 16-6 MACJC) each held its spot from last week while Jones County Junior College (29-6, 18-2 MACJC) slipped two spots to No. 8 in this week's rankings.
LSU-Eunice (41-3) continues to hold the top spot in the country for the fifth-straight week.

The Indians (33-6, 18-4 MACJC) are scheduled to travel to Ellisville on Friday to face MACJC-leading Jones County for a conference doubleheader starting at 4:00 p.m. The games will be streamed on LetsGoICCTV.com/softball.
