WESSON, MS - A pitcher's duel was broken up in a big way when the Indians hung 15 on the board in the top of the sixth to pick up a 15-0 run rule victory to earn a split with Co-Lin Sunday.
After both teams had combined for six hits through the first five innings, the Indians pushed across 15 runs on 10 hits after sending 20 batters to the plate in the sixth.
Kaitlin Bradley (Columbus), Mamie Hollenhead (Mathiston) and Katrina Wilson (Oxford) got the merrygoround spinning with back-to-back-to-back singles.
Bree Thompson (Water Valley) drew a bases loaded walk to give the Indians a 1-0 lead.
Then the flood gates opened.
Hollenhead scored when Katie Channell (Vicksburg) reached on an error. Wilson scored when Maura Jane Autry (Holly Springs) reached safely on a fielder's choice to give ICC a 3-0 lead.
Addie Thompson (Hamilton) pushed across the fourth run of the inning after being hit by a pitch with bases loaded.
Lane Kennedy (Smithville) welcomed the new Co-Lin pitcher with a two-run single to give the Indians a 6-0 advantage.
After Kennedy stole second, Alex Brown (Pontotoc) roped a two-run double to the gap.
Leading 9-0 with one out, Bradley and Hollenhead reached on singles before scoring when Taylor Thornton (Carrollton) and Bree Thompson reached safely on back-to-back fielder's choices to load the bases and give ICC an 11-0 lead.
Channell blasted a bases clearing double to put the Indians up 14-0 before Kennedy scratched across the 15th run of the inning on ground out to second.
Co-Lin put a pair of runners on in the bottom half of the inning, but Katlin McDuffy (Iuka) induced a ground out to pick up her first victory of the season.
McDuffy scattered four hits in the complete game shutout.
Hollenhead went 3-for-4 while Bradley and Wilson each added a pair of hits in the Indians' 13-hit performance.
ICC improved to 2-2 while Co-Lin (3-1) dropped their first game of the season.
The Indians will host Calhoun (AL) on Thursday, February 11 for their 2016 home opener.
ICC defeated the Warhawks, 6-5, in their first game of the season at the Pearl River Tournament.
