FULTON, MS – After a dominating show in game one, the Itawamba Community College softball team finished the sweep of Jackson State Community College with a 6-1 game two victory.

The Lady Indians (27-11, 16-5 MACJC North) took an early lead but put the Lady Generals away for good after a three run sixth inning.

Sophomore Haley Moore (Booneville) and freshman Courtney Roberts (Hatley) led the charge for the Lady Indians with both going 2-for-4 with 1 RBI. Katelynn Downey (Liberty, MO) added an RBI while going 2-for-3 and scored twice.

Freshman pitcher Katlin McDuffy (Iuka) threw four innings and allowed only three hits while striking out two to improve to 3-0 this season. Hannah Johnson (Branson, MO) came in in relief and threw three innings of one hit softball and struck out two.

The Lady Indians will host East Mississippi Community College Thursday for a makeup game that was rained out March 21. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. in Fulton.
