Lady Indians complete the sweep of MS Delta

FULTON, MS - ICC wasted little time pulling away from the Lady Trojans in the second game of afternoon.
The Lady Indians scored four runs in the bottom of the first, second, and third innings before pulling away for a 13-2 win in five innings to complete the sweep of Mississippi Delta.
Katrina Wilson (Oxford) led the charge from the plate for the Lady Indians by going three-for-three with a double and a pair of singles to drive in three runs while scoring two more runs. Haley Moore (Booneville) went two-for-three with a double to plate a run and scored three runs.
Sophomore Hannah Johnson (Branson, MO) improved to 6-1 on the year by striking out four and giving up one earned run on four hits in three innings of work. McDuffy and Cara Hopper (Caledonia) each saw an inning of work with McDuffy giving up two hits and striking out one while Hopper tossed a hitless inning and struck out two batters.
The Lady Indians are scheduled to travel to Goodman, MS on Monday for a North Division doubleheader against Holmes Community College. Opening pitch for the twin bill is slated for 2:00 p.m. – weather pending.
