Itawamba Community College softball coach Andy Kirk announced the signing of three new faces for next season's squad in Amory High School standout Paige Earnest, Kelsey Kelser of Lafayette High School and Catherine Carver of Hernando High School.
"These are three big additions to our lineup next season," said Kirk, who is in his first season as the Lady Indians' head coach. "All three of these girls bring a wide range of talent offensively and defensively along with the potential of a lot of leadership both on and off the field."
Earnest, a utility player, is batting .500 along with a .571 on-base percentage and .778 slugging percentage for Coach Amir Hunt and the Lady Panthers this season.
"I'm really excited to be a Lady Indian," said Earnest. "I've played some of the girls there and I look forward to playing with them again next season."
Kelser, an infielder and pitcher, is batting .367 with a .417 on-base percentage and .929 fielding percentage to go along with 5-1 record in the circle with a 2.62 ERA with 34 strike outs in 42-plus innings of work for Coach Katie Moore and the Lady Commodores.
"It feels great knowing I'll be a Lady Indian next season," said Kelser. "I'm really excited and am going to work hard to get ready for next year at ICC because the facilities are really nice and the education I will be getting is really at a high level."
Carver, a shortstop, is batting .391 with a .500 on-base percentage and .522 slugging percentage for Coach Jayme Eyster and the Lady Tigers.
"I'm very excited to be playing at ICC next year," said Carver. "I'm excited about the opportunity to play on the next level and I'm also excited to be going to such a great college like ICC."
The trio brings the 2013 signing class to eight total singees with Emilee Henderson (Tishomingo County HS), Megan Jones (Raleigh HS), Kory Watterson (DeSoto Central HS), Lexie Boykin (Eupora HS) and Monica Wade (Florence HS).
