Itawamba Community College head softball coach Andy Kirk announced the signing of Raleigh High School standout Megan Jones.
"Playing at ICC is going to be a wonderful experience," said Jones. "Ever since I was little I've always dreamed of playing at the next level and I'm super excited about being able to do that at a program like ICC."
Jones, a utility player, had a .417 batting average and on-base percentage for Coach Denis Hough and the Lady Lions as a junior.
"We've got a big group of seniors and Megan has been an important part of this group of seniors," said Raleigh head softball coach Dennis Hough. "She brings a very hard work ethic to the team, integrity, positive attitude, she'll do anything we need her to do and play any position we need her to play. I think that's what Coach Andy will get when she comes to ICC along with making the team a better place to be for her teammates."
"Megan has an excellent bat and hopefully will be able to drive in a bunch of runs for us next season," said Kirk. "She's a utility type player with a very strong arm that can play a lot of positions for us."
