Fulton, Miss. – The postseason honors for Itawamba Community College freshman pitcher Emily Robinson (Springville, Ala.) continue to roll in as she was named as a First Team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Friday.
Robinson led the Indians and the nation with nine saves during her first season in Fulton and had a team-high 87 strikeouts while only walking 19 in her 88 innings pitched.
In her 29 appearances, Robinson averaged 6.92 strikeouts per game and finished with a team-best 1.59 earned run average.
Earlier this week, she was selected to the NFCA All South Region First Team and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 Team. Robinson was also named as conference Pitcher of the Year after helping the Indians to attain 36 wins this spring and a regular season conference title, conference tournament runner-up and a regional appearance.
