FULTON, Miss. – Itawamba Community College sophomore AJ Dent (Thomasville, Ga.) has earned National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 honors, according to an announcement on Wednesday.
Dent was a key part of ICC's success this season, leading the team with 15.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. He also recorded a team-best 60.7 shooting percentage and delivered a career-best performance with 38 points in ICC's 92-79 victory over then-No. 7 Jones on Jan. 13.
Throughout the season, he was recognized as the MACCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week on two occasions and earned the NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week honor on Nov. 27.
The Indians finished the 2024-25 season with a 25-6 overall record, an 11-3 mark in MACCC play and an appearance in the NJCAA Region 23 semifinals.
