FULTON, Miss. – Itawamba Community College's AJ Dent (Thomasville, Ga.) has been named NJCAA Division I Men's Basketball All-American Honorable Mention, according to an announcement on Wednesday.
Dent played a pivotal role in the Indians' success this season, leading the team in both scoring and rebounding with averages of 15.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. He had a team-best 60.7 shooting percentage and a career-best 38 points in ICC's 92-79 victory over then-No. 7 Jones on Jan. 13.
Throughout the 2024-25 season, Dent collected multiple accolades. He was twice named MACCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, earned NJCAA Division I Player of the Week honors on Nov. 27, and selected to the NJCAA All-Region 23 team in March.
The Indians finished the 2024-25 season with a 25-6 overall record, going 11-3 in MACCC action and reaching the semifinals of the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament.
