
FULTON, Miss. – Sophomore AJ Dent (Thomasville, Ga.) has been selected National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the NJCAA announced on Wednesday.
Dent was impressive as he helped the Indians go 2-0 on the week, averaging 23 points and 14 rebounds per game with a 69 shooting percentage. He recorded a career-high 31 points in ICC's 89-70 road victory at Calhoun, along with a career-best 20 rebounds. He also contributed 15 points and eight rebounds in the Indians' 88-58 win at ASU Mid-South.
Dent currently leads the Indians with an average of 15 points per game, which is 13th in the MACCC. He was also named MACCC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his performance.
The Indians will be back in action on Tuesday, Dec. 3, when they host Wallace State at 7:30 p.m. in the Davis Event Center.
