
Fulton, Miss. – Four Itawamba Community College men's basketball student-athletes have signed to continue their careers at the next level Monday.
Sophomore Gemari Marshall of Jackson signed with Tusculmum University. A trio of freshmen joined Marshall, including Kolby Horace of Spanish Fort, Ala., Delta State University; Josh Lee of Canton, the University of Denver; and Eddie Page of Atlanta, Ga., Clayton State University.
Marshall, who averaged 11.4 points per game, shot 51 percent from the field and 83.7 percent from the free throw line. The guard scored 285 points last season and led the team with 114 assists in 25 games. Tusculmum University is a NCAA Division II school located in Greeneville, Tenn. that competes in the South Atlantic Conference.
Horace, a 6'3 guard, averaged 9.5 points per game and scored 248 points for the Indians last season. From the field, Horace shot 40.5 percent and 75.4 percent from the charity stripe. Horace had 89 assists and 74 rebounds in 26 games. He will join the Statesmen, who compete in the Gulf South Conference.
Lee, who had a standout season, was the Indians' second leading scorer, averaging 15 points and a team-high 7.2 rebounds per game. He scored 390 total points and grabbed 187 rebounds that resulted in seven double-doubles. Named MACCC Player of the Week on Jan. 24, Lee finished the season with 64 assists, 36 steals and five blocks. The guard's performance earned him all-conference first team honors and All-Region honors from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The University of Denver is a NCAA Division I school located in Denver, Colo. and competes in the Summit League Conference.
Page shot 65.2 percent from the field over 23 games and scored 70 points while grabbing 102 rebounds. The 6'8 forward blocked 20 shots and will join the Clayton State Lakers, that compete in NCAA Division II's Peach Belt Conference.
The four signees helped the Indians reach the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament with a 21-5 overall record and join George Marshall, who signed with Morehead State University in December, at the next level.
