The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) released their All-Conference teams Wednesday with 13 Itawamba Community College football players receiving honors.

The Indians went on the road Thursday and beat Northeast Mississippi Community College, 17-0, in MACCC North Division play.

The Indians scored 21 unanswered points in the final six minutes of the game to rally for a 35-17 win over Mississippi Delta on Thursday to remain unbeaten in conference play.
After a disappointing performance in a loss to East Central, the Indians bounced back with a 34-33 win at East Mississippi on a game-winning field goal by Eli Burciaga (Corinth) that drew flashbacks to the Indians’ 2012 win over the Lions.

Fans that waded through the remnants of Hurricane Francine couldn’t ask for much more from the Indians’ defense on Thursday night. ICC (2-1) forced eight turnovers, six fumbled and two interceptions, but the offense sputtered in the second half in a disappointing, 20-9, home loss to East Central (2-1).

It’s been said it’s not how you start but how you finish, and that was the case for freshman kicker Eli Barciaga (Corinth) in Itawamba Community College’s 10-7 road win over the Hinds Community College Eagles.
