13 Indians named to All-MACCC North Division teams
The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) released their All-Conference teams Wednesday with 13 Itawamba Community College football players receiving honors.
FULTON, Miss. – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) released their All-Conference teams Wednesday with 13 Itawamba Community College football players receiving honors.
Chris Reed (Orlando, Fla.), Dylan Rowsey (Rienzi) and Jaiyden Thompson (Okolona) earned All-MACCC North Division First Team honors.
Reed led the Indians with 552 receiving yards on 34 targets while scoring four touchdowns, two in the Indians' 36-24 win at East Mississippi. He also racked up 116 yards against the Lions. Rowsey had a team-best four interceptions, one returned 43 yards for a touchdown in ICC's come-from-behind win over Mississippi Delta. His performance against the Trojans earned both MACCC and NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week honors. Thompson was one of many leaders on the ICC defense this season. He had 54 total tackles, 6.5 for loss and four sacks, and recorded a career-high 18 tackles to help the Indians defeat East Mississippi, earning both MACCC and NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week recognition.
Terry Clayborn, Tony Lucious (both of Starkville), Jayden Walker (Aberdeen), Zae Dilworth (Nettleton) and Orel Gray (Jacksonville, Fla.) were named to the All-MACCC North Division Second Team.
Clayborn helped anchor an offensive line that protected quarterback Ty Davis (Fulton), who passed for 1,591 yards and 15 touchdowns. Lucious, Walker, Dilworth and Gray each were vital pieces of the Indians' defensive unit. Lucious racked up 19 total tackles, two for loss and a sack. Walker recorded 42 total tackles while picking up 6.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss. Dilworth had a team-best seven pass breakups with two interceptions. Gray led the Indians with 10 sacks while also recording 52 total tackles and 13.5 tackles for loss.
Bryce Chrestman (Pontotoc), Zae Davis (Rienzi), Tyran Mosley (Kosciusko), Brady Phillips (Pinson, Ala.) and Amar Harper (Magee) were named All-MACCC North Division Honorable Mention.
As a tight end, Chrestman provided extra blocking power for the ICC offense. Davis racked up 472 receiving yards on 53 targets while Mosley picked up 406 and a team-best six receiving touchdowns. Phillips and Harper lined up with Clayborn to anchor the Indians' offensive line.
The Indians finished the 2024 season 6-3 overall with a 4-2 MACCC North Division record.
