Jackson, Miss. - For the second time this season, Itawamba Community College's Brandon Brown has been named Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) for his performance last week.
The sophomore guard helped the Indians go 1-1 last week and scored a total of 43 points while shooting 48 percent (13-27). Brown also grabbed 21 rebounds, had 13 assists, four steals and a block in the two contests.
In the Indians 86-83 overtime road loss to East Mississippi, Brown scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The Memphis, Tenn. native added 25 points and 11 rebounds in the 75-61 rivalry win over Northeast.
Brown shot 88 percent (16-18) from the charity stripe as well. He leads the Indians this season with 19.1 points per game and rebounds with 10 per game.
