Roy Cresap played baseball at ICC where he coached football for three years and baseball for sixteen and one-half seasons.
During that time, Coach Cresap won 451 games, and his teams qualified for nine Region 23 tournaments and won the state title in 1993. In addition, 27 of his players have joined the coaching ranks.
He coached in four All-Star games, and he was named
Mississippi Junior Community College Athletic Association Coach of
the Year in 1993. He was selected 12 times as chairman of the
Mississippi Junior College Baseball Coaches Association.
In 2012, Cresap was honored once again by Itawamba Community
College when they named the baseball field after him.
