Tim Bowens retired from an illustrious 11-year career in the NFL
with the Miami Dolphins, who selected him in the first round in
1994.
Later that season, he earned NFL Rookie Defensive Player of the
Year and All-Pro honors. He was a two-time NFL Pro Bowl
selection.
At Itawamba Community College where he played in 1991 and 1992, he
was an NJCAA All-American and two-time MACJC All-State selection.
He transferred to Ole Miss, where he was a standout for one season
with the Rebels, before embarking on his NFL career which included
more than 400 stops at his defensive tackle position.
