PERKINSTON, MS - For the second-straight match the Lady Indians found a way to rally for the victory after picking up a 5-4 win over Gulf Coast on Wednesday.
Andria Barnes (Mooreville) and Meredith Lee (Nettleton) battled to an 8-5 win over Kendra Soley and Anna Stevison in No. 3 doubles play after Madison Scott (Mooreville) and Kacey Byrd (Mooreville) took care of Jasmine Sartin and Lexie Johnson 8-1 in No. 2 doubles to give the Lady Indians a 2-1 edge going into singles play.
Barnes carried her momentum from doubles play into singles action to pick up a 6-2, 6-0 win in No. 2 action over Sartin. Scott notched a 6-1, 6-3 win over Johnson in No. 4 singles play while Ivy Robbins (Pontotoc) picked a decisive 6-1, 6-3 victory over Stevison to help secure the second-straight 5-4 victory for the Lady Indians.
ICC improved to 5-1 on the season.
