FULTON, Miss. – The Lady Indians picked up their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Meridian Tuesday.
Malarie Scott (Saltillo) scored on a penalty kick to give the Lady Indians (1-2-0) a 1-0 lead in the first half before Deanna Christie (Liverpool, England) scored her first collegiate goal off an assist from Morgan Dennis (Saltillo) in the second half.
Keepers Haley McGill (Saltillo) and Merrie Kate Grayson (Tupelo) combined for the shutout.
The Lady Indians will host Hinds at 2:00 on Friday.
