DECATUR, MS – The Lady Indians dropped a 2-0 match at East Central Community College in the MACJC North opener for both teams, Friday in Decatur.
Jennifer Hosey (Richland) finished the match with nine saves on 11 shots on goal in 90 minutes in net.
Hosey, who came into the season as a center back, took over the keeper position after a pair of injuries early in the season sidelined both Lady Indian stoppers. The freshman from Richland High School has recorded 34 saves while only allowing five goals in 300 minutes in net.
The Lady Indians (1-2-1, 0-1-0 MACJC North) will look to get a boost with the possible return of freshmen keepers Ana Branch (Oxford) and Alexis Dunaway (Saltillo), freshman defender Claire Robertson (Tupelo), and team captain sophomore defender Alyssa Stanford (Corinth) from the injured reserve list before Friday's conference match at Hinds Community College.
