SENATOBIA, MS -- The Lady Indians (2-4-1; 1-2-1 MACJC North) battled through numerous in-game injuries against a vastly improved Lady Rangers (4-2; 2-1 MACJC North) squad.
ICC struck first when freshman Annalee Jaggars (Saltillo) provided instant offense scoring within 30 seconds of checking into the game on a bomb from outside the 18 early in the first half.
"Annalee provided a big spark for us," said Coach Cody Carson. "I thought she came in with an aggressive mindset and did a great job of finding the back of the net on a pretty tough shot against a really good keeper."
Northwest would answer with a pair of goals inside a two minute time span from Alex Jones and would hold that lead throughout the remainder of the match to pick up the 2-1 come-from-behind victory.
"We had our chances, but couldn't take advantage," said Carson. "Give all the credit to Northwest, they played physical and put a lot of pressure on us throughout the match to be able to come away with the win."
Keeper Emily Munn (Pontotoc) had 6 saves despite playing with an injured wrist throughout the match.
ICC will step out of division play for four-straight matches before stepping back into division play at home against Hinds Community College on Tuesday, October 8th.
