ELLISVILLE, MS -- The Lady Indians hit the road for the first time this season and dropped a 5-0 decision to the Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats on Friday.
"This was a good taste of what the road games will be like when division play rolls around," said ICC assistant coach Cody Carson. "Jones is always one of the top teams out of the South Division and now we see where we need to be to be able to compete for a state championship."
The game was the third in five games for the Lady Indians (0-3; 0-0 MACJC North).
"We made some mistakes that they were able to turn into goals, but overall we saw some improvements this week that will hopefully prepare us for division play," Carson commented.
The Lady Indians will return home on Tuesday to take on the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Lady Wolves at 2:00 p.m.
