
FULTON, Miss. – Asia Stafford (Biggersville), Jestiny Dixon (Foley, Ala.) and D'Naylah Williams (Kosciusko) have been selected to the NJCAA Region 23 Women's Basketball All-Tournament Team, according to an announcement on Tuesday.
Stafford played a key role in ICC's success during the tournament, picking up 19 rebounds three games. In the Lady Indians' 83-65 tournament title win over Mississippi Delta, she made an impact down the stretch with a 12-point, nine-rebound performance.
Dixon made it difficult for opposing teams throughout the Region 23 Tournament, scoring 19 points against Gulf Coast, 17 against Coahoma and a career-best 30 in the tournament championship game against Mississippi Delta. Her performance also earned Most Valuable Player honors for the tournament.
Williams also played a key role for the Lady Indians in the tournament. She posted a double-double performance with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Mississippi Delta and made it difficult for opposing teams to score while on defense.
The Lady Indians, who are currently on a nine-game winning streak, will enter the 2025 Credit Union 1 NJCAA Women's DI Basketball Tournament as the No. 21 seed where they will face No. 12 seed Florida Southwestern State College on Wednesday, March 26, at 3:30 p.m. in the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming.
