Fulton, Miss. – The Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) announced its softball postseason honors Tuesday, and three Itawamba Community College student-athletes earned All-MACCC honors.

Sammie Day-Jones of Ragland, Ala. achieved All-MACCC First Team honors while Emily Robinson of Springville Ala. and Riley Tyree of Trussville, Ala. were named All-MACCC Second Team.

Day-Jones finished her freshman season with a .323 batting average and a .409 on base percentage. The left-handed hitter had 41 hits, 34 runs scored, 25 RBI, eight doubles, three triples and stole 17 bases. She finished with a perfect fielding percentage and recorded 41 putouts and four assists as the Indians starting centerfielder.

Robinson led the Indians in numerous pitching categories with 147 strikeouts, 14 wins, 28 appearances, 139 innings pitched and a 2.42 earned run average. Her 147 strikeouts were third best in the conference and helped her break and set the programs all-time strikeout record at 291. The Valdosta State University signee also holds the program's record for single season saves with 10 which she set in 2022 and career saves with 19.

Tyree, who finished the season with a .336 batting average, led the Indians in doubles with 15 and RBI with 36. She had 44 hits, three home runs, eight stolen bases, a .371 on base percentage and a .519 slugging percentage. The freshman catcher played in 43 games and finished with a .959 fielding percentage and recorded 205 putouts and 28 assists.

The Indians finished the season with a 29-18 record, advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 23 Tournament and were ranked nationally for nine weeks during the regular season.
