Lady Indians earn split with Calhoun with 2-1 Game 2 win

DECATUR, AL - The Lady Indians (13-6) broke open a scoreless game when Laken Shankle (Bruce) connected on her second double of the day and scored on a double by Courtney Roberts (Hatley) before Arriann Henry (Ecru) singled to push across Roberts and give ICC a 2-0 lead.
Calhoun (6-12-2) rallied in the bottom of the sixth when Haley Barclay doubled and her courtesy runner, Mariah Cantrell, scored on when Shelby Kerr reahed on a fielder's choice.
Shankle went two-for-four with a pair of doubles and a run scored.
Hannah Johnson (Branson, MO) improved to 8-1 on the season and Cara Hopper (Caledonia) notched her first save of the season.
The Lady Indians were scheduled to face Northwest Mississippi Community College on Thursday, but due to late rains in Tate County the game was been rescheduled for Monday, March 23 in Senatobia.
