
No. 25 Indians take care of Holmes 9-0

FULTON, MS – The No. 25 Itawamba Community College men's tennis team defeated Holmes Community College in dominating fashion Friday, sweeping the Bulldogs 9-0.
The Indians (2-2) swept the doubles matches winning all three by a combined score of 24-2 and as a team allowed the Bulldogs to win only 12 games in singles action.
David Garcia Perez (Madrid, Spain) and Roberto Valadez (New Albany) won their single matches 6-0, 6-2 and Chris Shands (New Albany) swept his opponent 6-0, 6-0.
Brendan Jobe (Corinth) picked up a 6-3, 6-1 victory and Ezra Blissard (Houston) won 6-0, 6-2.
Michael Crotts (New Albany) ended the day for the Indians with a 6-0, 6-1 win to complete the 9-0 victory.
The Indians will face their fourth ranked opponent of the season Saturday when they host No. 24 Hinds at 11 am.
